What is the Embedded Team
The Embedded Team is Maverick's AI execution service that works from within the client organization, side by side with internal teams. It's not external staffing: it's an integrated team that takes ownership of goals, interfaces with internal functions and delivers concrete results — with the same ownership logic as an internal team, and the specialized expertise of people who work with AI every day.
The team is led by a Fractional AI Officer: the senior figure who ensures alignment between strategy and operations, coordinates technical work and serves as the reference point for client management.
How it works
Team composition is defined together with the client during engagement design, based on scope and existing internal capabilities. The team works with agile methodology: short delivery cycles, regular reviews, continuous adjustments.
The goal is not just to deliver, but to transfer knowledge and leave an organization better equipped to manage AI autonomously.

Team composition
The team is multidisciplinary by design. The Fractional AI Officer is the senior profile leading the group; other roles cover distinct levels of the AI value chain.
Fractional AI Officer
Senior strategic leadership role — included in the full team, also available standalone. Strategic oversight of the entire AI initiative. Sets direction, oversees governance, coordinates the team and serves as the reference point for management.
AI Product Manager
Coordinates the AI project roadmap, manages priorities and bridges business and technical profiles. Ensures deliverables are relevant and measurable.
AI Engineer
Designs, develops and optimizes AI models and pipelines. Manages integration of AI systems into operational workflows and production deployment.
Data Engineer
Builds and maintains data infrastructure: ingestion pipelines, storage, data quality and architecture scalability. Ensures AI systems have the data foundations they need.

Fractional AI Officer
The Fractional AI Officer is the strategic leadership figure who leads the Embedded Team. A C-level profile that Maverick integrates into the client organization, bringing strategic vision, process governance and continuity of AI direction.
The FAO is also available in standalone mode: clients who already have internal technical teams can engage exclusively this figure, on a flexible monthly retainer.

Educates top management on AI fundamentals: opportunities, risks and strategic implications. Builds a common language between business functions and technical teams.
Change Management & Adoption
Promotes innovation culture across the company, facilitates and monitors AI adoption in daily work routines. Supports the team through the upskilling process.

The client can choose between two configurations, depending on needs and maturity of existing internal resources.
